“If a writer falls in love with you, you can never die.” -Mik Everett
You are no longer part of my life, but your presence still stains the pages of countless notebooks, iPhone Notes, and even this very blog.
Though you always claimed you’d live a short life of sixty years (twenty something more to go), I’d always remind you that you’d leave an impact on those you leave behind.
And now here I am: continuing to write about you, immortalizing you, giving you life with each word typed onto this page. In the end, maybe I got what I wanted after all: an eternity together in the pages of our past. Now I’m looking forward to the chapters of my future. I loved our story, but it’s time to turn the page and close the book.
I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, but all I did was give you an eternity without me.
